Prudential plc announced that it cancelled 275,076 ordinary shares on Nov, 24 2025, trimming its outstanding share count to about 2.557 billion.
On the same day, the insurer bought back an additional 294,559 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange for cancellation, paying between GBP 10.475 and GBP 10.605 per share. The purchase cost totalled roughly GBP 3.10 million. These shares, together with 284,632 shares repurchased on Nov, 21 2025, remain to be cancelled.
Following the latest transactions, Prudential has repurchased 50.08 million shares under its current mandate, representing about 1.92 % of the issued share capital approved for buyback at its May, 14 2025 annual meeting.
The company is barred from issuing new shares for 30 days after the Nov, 24 2025 repurchase, meaning the moratorium lasts until Dec, 24 2025.
