Brazilian food processing company BRF stated that it expects to see China and Europe resume purchasing its chicken products "within days or weeks." This follows trade bans triggered by a bird flu outbreak in the second quarter, which local authorities have now brought under control.

During a conference call regarding BRF's quarterly results, management also noted that declining grain prices, particularly corn, will reduce production costs in the third and fourth quarters and expand profit margins.
