During September 18-19, Guilin participated in a series of investment promotion activities at the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo, including the signing ceremony and the 2026 China-ASEAN Industrial Cooperation Zone and ASEAN Country Park Dialogue. A total of 24 investment projects were signed, with a combined investment of 4.455 billion yuan, ranking first in the region for the number of projects signed.

The signed projects span multiple industries, including new-generation information technology and artificial intelligence, biomedicine and health, new materials, machinery and high-end equipment manufacturing, light industry and textiles, integrated culture-commerce-tourism development, and education. Among them, 12 projects fall under new quality productive forces sectors such as new-generation information technology and AI, biomedicine and health, and new materials, accounting for half of all signed projects.

New quality productive forces projects stood out as a major highlight across the special signing sessions. The Lixu County Xinshijia Semiconductor Production Project plans an investment of 500 million yuan to establish an AI smart eyewear production base. The Pingle County Changcheng Power High-Density High-Power Power Supply Project will invest 200 million yuan, building on the existing enterprise's strengths in R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and market channels to construct a high-density high-power power supply manufacturing base. The Guilin Economic Development Zone Zhongke Bolian Intelligent Circulating Intelligent Robot Project will invest 100 million yuan to build a CTB intelligent aerobic fermentation smart robot production base, with an annual planned output of 100 units and an expected annual output value of 550 million yuan at full capacity, further strengthening the city's industrial chain and expanding industrial scale.

This year's expo also showcased Guilin's investment promotion achievements in recent years. The Guilin Bolun Tiantai Intelligent Machinery Co., Ltd. intelligent robotic arm manufacturing project, the Guilin Xiangze New Materials Co., Ltd. high-performance optoelectronic film silicon-based new materials project, and the Guangxi Shiyu Integrated Circuit Co., Ltd. AI server and substrate-like PCB production project, as typical projects signed and implemented at the 20th, 21st, and 22nd expos, were presented as success stories during the signing activities.

International cooperation emerged as another key highlight of this investment promotion campaign. The Yuexiang Biomedical Industry Project, settled in the Guilin Economic Development Zone, is a joint investment by Meizhenzhu (Guangxi) Medical Research Co., Ltd. and Singapore's CRESCENT company. Kaiyuan Yun (Guilin) Technology Co., Ltd. has partnered with the International AI Industry Alliance to advance the construction of an AI agent intelligent manufacturing base. Shanghai Dasuo Energy Technology Group Co., Ltd. is investing in the construction of an esports graphics server computing power center, fully demonstrating the strong appeal of Guilin's sci-tech innovation industries.

Meanwhile, for the first time, Guilin's universities deeply participated in the expo's investment promotion series. Guilin University of Technology signed strategic cooperation framework agreements with the Qinghai Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Exploration and Development and Shanghai Nuotian Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd., and also signed a memorandum of understanding with Vietnam's Ha Long University, continuously expanding space for university-local government, university-enterprise, and international cooperation.
