US-listed shares of LUFAX closed more than 6% higher on Wednesday, reaching $1.22 per share, following the company's announcement that its Hong Kong listing suspension has been lifted.
Late Tuesday evening, LUFAX disclosed that it had fully satisfied all resumption guidance set by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Trading on the Hong Kong exchange is set to restart at 9:00 AM on September 24, 2026, marking the company's return to the capital markets after roughly 20 months of suspension that began on January 28, 2025.
According to the announcement, the exchange had originally outlined six conditions for reinstatement, covering areas such as independent investigations, financial restatements, management integrity, internal controls, ongoing listing eligibility, and information disclosure. As of the announcement date, all six requirements have been met.
Throughout the suspension period, LUFAX's core retail credit enablement and consumer finance operations continued to function normally. The company reported total revenue of approximately RMB 27.1 billion for fiscal year 2025, while maintaining total assets of around RMB 202.7 billion as of June 30, 2026.
Data from the 2026 interim report indicates that the company's fundamentals have shown considerable resilience during the industry's adjustment phase, with structural transformation progressing steadily. In the first half of the year, newly facilitated loans reached RMB 99.9 billion, of which consumer finance contributed RMB 66.2 billion—a marked improvement from RMB 59.3 billion in the same period last year. By the end of June, consumer finance loan balances stood at RMB 65.4 billion, reflecting year-on-year growth of 19.9%, while total loan balances reached RMB 167.3 billion.
