10月3日，小米公司发言人微博发文：针对近日网传 “小米汽车突然自己开走” 相关视频，我们高度重视该事件，第一时间成立专项工作组展开调查并和用户协同核实。双方通过用户授权的手机APP操作日志、车辆数据等逐一核实，得出统一结论“车辆后台数据和iPhone 15 Pro Max操作日志、响应时间、车辆泊出指令均能匹配，排除车辆质量问题。”
调查过程中征得用户同意后，我们获得了车辆后台数据授权和拥有车控权限的两部手机端操作日志（两部手机分别是女车主的iPhone 16 Pro和男车主的iPhone 15 Pro Max，对应设备型号标识符分别为iPhone 17,1与iPhone 16,2）。车辆后台数据显示，在用户描述的时间窗口中，车辆收到iPhone 15 Pro Max发出的泊车辅助指令，导致车辆激活泊车辅助功能（激活条件是车辆要在手机蓝牙连接近距离之内），并启动泊出车位。
针对用户反馈与线上客服沟通时，称是一台iPhone 16发出泊车辅助指令。经核实，线上客服在与用户沟通过程中将设备型号标识符（iPhone 16,2）与对应设备型号（iPhone 15 Pro Max）混淆，导致用户错误理解，传递了不准确的信息造成一系列误会，我们对此表示歉意，并将在后续服务过程中不断改善。
