On the evening of the 18th, MINIMAX-W (00100) officially released version v0.4.12 of its Code CLI to developers worldwide, with the source code now available under the MIT license.
The MiniMax Code CLI serves as the core component of the MiniMax Code client. In the FrontierHarness Eval benchmark, it achieved a 76.7% task completion rate with a median successful task duration of 4 minutes and 33 seconds—both metrics outperforming the public baselines listed in the report.
MiniMax stated that through superior harness design, it aims to continuously unlock model capabilities and reduce task wait times. With this open-source move, MiniMax is enabling developers to scrutinize tool invocation and permission handling, build reliable enterprise-grade applications, and allow the community to identify issues and contribute fixes—making usage more trustworthy and refining security mechanisms through real-world application and review.
On the same day, Zhipu's coding product ZCode encountered a Repo Wiki feature that inadvertently triggered repository data uploads. The issue stemmed from the default-enabled "codebase indexing" function, which could initiate local repository data uploads when generating cloud-based Wiki pages, raising user concerns. Zhipu officially responded with an apology, pledging to open-source the ZCode codebase and invite third parties to conduct security reviews while publicly disclosing the review progress.
On the 18th, Hong Kong-listed large model concept stocks rallied broadly. MINIMAX-W surged over 18%, while Zhipu climbed more than 5%.
