Bank of New York Mellon CEO Robin Vince stated that the company is optimistic about the future of AI. Since 2022, it has tripled its recruitment of interns and analysts to leverage the natural affinity younger employees have for artificial intelligence.

"I am an AI optimist," Vince said in an interview. "I believe this is a revolutionary technology, though it certainly requires proper management."

Vince mentioned that increasing investment in interns and analysts aims to align with the inherent interest younger staff have in AI, though he did not specify the scale of the employment changes. He indicated that the bank hopes to "continue introducing new skills and new talent into our organization" while also equipping existing teams with AI capabilities.

"Undoubtedly, this will lead to some roles becoming unnecessary. Therefore, reskilling is crucial. As leaders, we must take on this responsibility," he added.
