At present, the issue of teenagers becoming involved with e-cigarettes and blindly following trends is occurring frequently, and most students lack sufficient awareness of the harms of new-type e-cigarettes and the relevant legal provisions.

Traditional booth-style publicity has shortcomings such as insufficient depth and weak targeting, so the Xiangcheng District Tobacco Monopoly Bureau of Suzhou jointly with Yiyun Shui'an Community carefully planned and carried out a special lecture on law education in schools, aiming to help students clearly recognize the harms of tobacco and new-type e-cigarettes and understand the legal bottom line related to tobacco through classroom-based and systematic presentations.

The event featured four core segments. It opened with the history of the destruction of opium at Humen, telling the story of Lin Zexu's great feat in 1839, and combined comparisons between ancient and modern tobacco to reveal that disguised new-type e-cigarettes, such as milk tea cup, cola can, and candy bar novelty products, have become a "new opium" harming teenagers, guiding students to build a sense of national feeling and tobacco control awareness.

The special lecture segment focused on two core regulations, the Tobacco Monopoly Law of the People's Republic of China and the Measures for the Administration of E-Cigarettes, selecting typical campus cases from across the country and locally, with emphasis on dismantling the harms of e-cigarettes for teenagers in their growth and development period, and keeping the content closely tied to students' real lives.

After that, a popular science warning short video was played, using real experiments and documentary footage to dispel rumors such as "e-cigarettes are non-toxic and harmless" and "fruit-flavored e-cigarettes are not addictive."

The final interactive question-and-answer session used prize-based interaction to teach methods of refusing smoking and also promoted the 12313 tobacco reporting hotline, mobilizing students' enthusiasm to participate.

Next, the Xiangcheng District Tobacco Monopoly Bureau and Yiyun Shui'an Community will continue to innovate publicity forms, promote the regular development of law education lectures, protect minors from the harm of e-cigarettes, and effectively build a green barrier for the physical and mental health of minors.
