From September 27 to 29, the 2025 China EV Charging and Battery Swap Ecosystem Conference was held in Hefei, Anhui Province. Themed "A Decade of Progress, Smart Future," the event was co-hosted by the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance and the Charging & Battery Swap Branch of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. On the afternoon of September 28, Liu Yang, Head of Charging Network Platform Products at Li Auto, delivered a keynote speech at the "Smart Charging Technology Innovation and Ecosystem Co-Building Forum." Below is a transcript of his remarks:

Good afternoon, everyone. Today, Li Auto would like to share our insights on smart charging.

**1. Our Practices Before the AI Era of Smart Charging** Three core elements define the charging experience: - **Speed**: The latest Li Auto i6 can charge 500 km in 10 minutes and reach 95% from 10% in 15 minutes, with peak power exceeding 500 kW. - **Coverage**: Over 3,300 charging stations have been deployed nationwide, including more than 1,000 along highways. - **User Experience**: Based on customer feedback, we’ve iterated and improved, earning high satisfaction ratings.

**Station Operations**: Li Auto’s proprietary algorithms for occupancy and hazard detection, along with smart monitoring systems and AI BOX, are standard at self-built stations. **User Data**: At 5C stations, average charging time is under 12 minutes per session, with over 58 kWh charged. User satisfaction at Li Auto Superchargers has reached 85%, and charging penetration stands at 49%.

**2. How AI Can Elevate Smart Charging** We envision a fully automated, end-to-end process—**Think, Find, Enter, Charge, Leave**: - **Full Automation**: Robotic plugging/unplugging and dust cap handling. - **High Utilization**: AI-driven vehicle scheduling to maximize station throughput and profitability. - **Enhanced Safety**: Li Auto’s automated charging architecture integrates cloud-based dispatch, robotic domain control, and execution systems.

**Key Technologies in Li Auto’s Charging Robot**: 1. Robotic arm obstacle avoidance and motion planning. 2. Charging gun pose recognition. 3. Charging port localization. 4. Dust cap handling.

**User-Centric Goals for the AI Charging Era**: - Minimize time spent charging. - Dramatically boost satisfaction. - Increase adoption rates.
