Shake Shack's stock plummeted 6.76% in pre-market trading following the release of its first-quarter fiscal 2026 earnings results.

The burger chain reported a net loss attributable to shareholders of $0.3 million, or $0.01 per share, for the quarter, swinging from a profit in the prior year period. This occurred despite the company posting a 14.3% year-over-year increase in revenue to $366.7 million.

Investors reacted negatively to the unexpected loss, driving the sharp pre-market decline. The company's operating results also swung to a loss of $2.6 million for the quarter.
