San Francisco-based Horizon3.ai, which specializes in ethical hacking services, has raised $250 million in a late-stage funding round. The company aims to capitalize on a wave of corporate anxiety fueled by the increasing potency of cyberattacks, amplified by advanced AI models like Anthropic's Mythos and other frontier technologies.
The Series E round, set to be announced on Monday, elevates the seven-year-old startup's valuation to over $2 billion, up from approximately $650 million about a year ago. The funding was co-led by NightDragon and NEA, both of which had previously invested in earlier rounds, with participation from more than a dozen new and existing investors.
Snehal Antani, co-founder and CEO of Horizon3, stated that the latest capital injection will drive the company’s continued global expansion. In June, the firm established its European headquarters in Amsterdam. He also noted plans to increase spending on sales, marketing, and research and development.
