KML Technology Group Limited (KML Tech, 08065) has published its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report for FY 2025/26, covering operations in Hong Kong from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026 and approved by the board on 23 June 2026.
Key developments include an independent third-party sustainability assessment that placed KML Tech in the upper half of global peers and awarded a “Committed” badge. The company also retained the Wastewi$e Certificate (Excellence Level) and secured external commendations such as “Harmony@Workplace Organisation 2025-26” and the “Caring Company” logo for the 18th consecutive year.
Safety and health remained a priority. The Group introduced an in-house “SWC” mobile app to digitalise the safety-working cycle, enabling real-time hazard identification and corrective actions. One work-related accident and zero fatalities were recorded during the year, with 67 lost workdays, down from 125 days in the prior year. Approximately 900 staff hours were devoted to occupational safety and health training.
Workforce headcount stood at 164 employees at year-end, 87.8% male. Employee turnover fell to 7.4% from 12.6% in FY 2024/25. Training investment continued, with 1,954.5 training hours delivered; 93% of male and 90% of female staff received training.
Total greenhouse-gas emissions reached 170.03 tCO2-e, equating to 1.04 tCO2-e per full-time employee. Scope 1 mobile combustion accounted for 57.29 tCO2-e, reflecting increased use of the company’s own fleet; Scope 2 electricity emissions were 86.38 tCO2-e. Electricity consumption held steady at 235,481 kWh, equal to 1,386.15 kWh per employee, aided by the replacement of an air-conditioning unit with a Grade 1 energy-efficient model. Water consumption totalled 458.32 m³, or 2.79 m³ per employee.
Hazardous waste generation was 2.93 tonnes (17.84 kg per employee). Construction waste rose slightly to 66.08 tonnes but remained modest at 0.40 kg per employee. New measures included a regular food-waste collection point, a medicine-recycling campaign and expanded paper-reduction initiatives.
A Sustainable Procurement Policy was launched, complementing existing vendor assessment protocols. KML Tech worked with 675 suppliers (437 in Hong Kong, 127 in Mainland China and Taiwan, 111 overseas) and embedded safety, health, environment and quality requirements into contracts.
Community investment focused on local culture, youth development and environmental awareness, featuring sponsorship of the “Lamma Day Dragon Boat Race 2025”, social-enterprise catering for staff events and apprenticeship programmes with the Vocational Training Council.
Management committed to deepening environmental policies, embedding sustainable procurement in daily purchasing, and extending digital safety tools across all sites to support long-term ESG performance improvements.
