At the "Dialogue with Omaha: The 11th U.S.-China Investors Reception" held on May 2 in Omaha, Nebraska, Amy Zhang, Partner and Executive Vice President of Alger Asset Management, shared her insights.

Zhang stated that the partnership between Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger is irreplaceable: "The perfect synergy between Charlie and Warren is, in my view, unreplicable. Their dynamic and chemistry are truly unique. However, the succession of a company like Berkshire Hathaway does not require an identical copy." She believes Buffett's choice of Greg Abel as successor demonstrates great foresight, calling him "the steadying anchor of the company."

Analyzing Berkshire's evolution, Zhang noted the conglomerate has gradually transformed into an industrial enterprise: "I think the company has now transitioned into an industrial firm, with many excellent businesses under its umbrella. In the future, Berkshire Hathaway will be even more focused on insurance as its core operation." She specifically highlighted the importance of Ajit Jain: "Over the years, the ability of Charlie and Warren to have substantial capital for investments is largely because Ajit has generated tremendous profits for them. He is absolutely a genius. Buffett once said that if one key person were to fall overboard, the one to save above all others would be Ajit."

Regarding AI investment and the concept of capital for good, Zhang expressed that small and mid-cap companies alongside the life sciences sector hold immense potential: "Many companies that can truly optimize their operations through AI in the future are small and medium-sized enterprises. This applies not only within the technology sector but across various fields, with applications in the healthcare industry being particularly nascent and possessing very significant potential." She also emphasized that capital for good should focus on empowering women and education: "When discussing capital for good, where should our philanthropic efforts lean? I have always believed that empowering women and supporting education are the two most important focal points for me."
