Star Shine Holdings (01440) climbed more than 14% in late trading, hitting a new high of HK$23.5. Since September 9, the stock has risen 1.3-fold. At the time of writing, it was up 10.77% at HK$22.62, with a turnover of HK$53.43 million.
In the first half of this year, the company reported revenue of HK$163 million and a net profit attributable to owners of HK$24.25 million, marking a turnaround from a loss in the prior year period. This was driven by a strong contribution of about HK$11 million from its IP merchandise segment, along with a fair value gain of approximately HK$27.3 million from the group's strategic investments.
Additionally, starting September 7, the company was added to the Stock Connect list, officially unlocking the southbound capital channel. In February, it announced successful collaborations with internationally renowned IP partners in various forms. Leveraging the IP of a series on a global streaming platform, the group has been designing, manufacturing, promoting, and selling a range of merchandise, having opened a pop-up store in a Hong Kong shopping mall and an online store for these products.
Furthermore, the group is exploring the establishment of its AI infrastructure and software-as-a-service capabilities to support its AI-driven business plans.
