Baidu Group-SW (09888) has seen its shares rise over 5%, currently up 5.01% at HKD 123.7, with a trading volume of HKD 692 million. Recently, Baidu announced a strategic partnership with Switzerland's public transport operator, PostBus, to launch the autonomous mobility service "AmiGo" in Switzerland. The plan includes initiating preliminary fleet testing in St. Gallen, Appenzell Outer County, and Appenzell Innerrhoden in eastern Switzerland in December this year, with aims to transition to regular and fully autonomous operations as soon as possible. CCB International previously reported that Baidu's core valuation logic is shifting toward AI enhancement. Considering the cloud and AI applications along with the autonomous driving industry's valuation range of 6-10 times sales, the current price corresponds to a valuation of Baidu's search business at less than 1 times earnings, which equates to approximately RMB 60 billion in revenue and RMB 10 billion in profit. As Baidu fully transitions to AI, the valuation logic is expected to gradually move toward a long-term value reassessment driven by AI technology.
