MACAU LEGEND (01680) announced that its total reported revenue for the six months ended June 30, 2025, decreased by approximately 12% compared to the same period in 2024, primarily attributable to reduced revenue from gaming-related operations. The group is expected to record a loss of approximately HK$1.421 billion during the reporting period, compared to approximately HK$110 million in the corresponding period last year.
The substantial increase in losses is mainly due to a significant impairment loss of approximately HK$1.288 billion recognized on the value of Macau Fisherman's Wharf, which is operated by the company's subsidiaries Macau Fisherman's Wharf International Investment Company Limited and Hung Fook Investment Company Limited. This impairment results from the service agreement with Sociedade de Jogos e Diversões de Macau, S.A. expiring on December 31, 2025, without renewal.
Excluding the impact of the aforementioned impairment loss and related deferred tax effects, the expected loss for the reporting period will increase by approximately HK$23 million (approximately 21%) compared to the same period last year, primarily due to a decrease of approximately HK$30 million in adjusted EBITDA from gaming-related operations.
