HSBC Holdings Appoints Elizabeth Alison Platt as Independent Non-Executive Director

HSBC Holdings (00005) has announced the appointment of 64-year-old Elizabeth Alison Platt as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective October 1, 2026.
Upon taking up the role, she will become a member of the Group Remuneration Committee, the Group Risk Management Committee, and the Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee.
The Board has also appointed Platt to succeed Dame Carolyn Fairbairn as Chair of the Group Remuneration Committee, subject to regulatory approval.
Dame Carolyn Fairbairn has previously been appointed as Chair of HSBC UK Bank plc. Following regulatory approval, Platt will assume the role on February 24, 2027, after HSBC releases its full-year results on February 23, 2027.
