At the XPeng GX technology launch event held on April 15, He Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO of XPeng Group, delivered a keynote speech. He stated that the XPeng GX is the company’s first full-size flagship SUV, with "G" symbolizing greatness and "X" representing exploration. The vehicle integrates cutting-edge technologies such as Robotaxi autonomous driving, safety redundancy from flying cars, embodied AI chips, and architecture, making it the first model built on XPeng’s new-generation physical AI architecture, SEPA 3.0.

He emphasized that the XPeng GX is China’s first pre-installed mass-produced Robotaxi prototype, fully designed to meet L4 autonomous driving standards. It is equipped with industry-leading effective computing power of 3000 TOPS, providing robust hardware support for high-level autonomous driving. The model also features XPeng’s second-generation VLA (Voice, Lighting, and Autonomous driving integration), which enhances three key functions: highway autonomous driving, voice-controlled vehicle operation, and intelligent lighting communication.

The XPeng GX demonstrates capabilities for autonomous navigation within campuses, successfully advancing under simulated challenging conditions such as heavy rain, dense fog, and darkness, while accurately avoiding obstacles. Its Visual Language Model (VLM) capabilities have been upgraded, enabling continuous fuzzy semantic dialogue both in the cloud and locally. The integration of VLA and VLM allows for hands-free operation via voice commands. Additionally, the vehicle supports autonomous parking in highway service areas. An AI digital projection headlight system communicates driving intentions, improving traffic safety.
