Prudential trims share capital after additional buybacks

Prudential plc announced that it cancelled 370,629 ordinary shares on Jul, 15 2026, reducing its outstanding share capital to 2,507,926,433 shares from 2,508,297,062 shares, a decrease of about 0.015%.

On the same day, the company repurchased a further 249,962 shares on the London Stock Exchange at prices ranging between GBP 10.605 and GBP 10.745, for a total outlay of about 4.6 million Singapore dollars. These shares, together with 251,757 shares repurchased on Jul, 14 2026, are awaiting cancellation.

Since receiving shareholder approval on May, 14 2025 to buy back up to 262.7 million shares, Prudential has repurchased approximately 104.7 million shares, representing roughly 4.02% of the shares outstanding at the time of the mandate.

Under listing rules, Prudential will be subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares until Aug, 14 2026 following the latest repurchases.
