Airdoc Flags Up To RMB50.00 Million H1 2026 Loss on Heavy R&D and Expansion Costs

Beijing Airdoc Technology Co., Ltd. (Airdoc) on 21 August 2026 issued a profit warning, projecting a net loss of no more than RMB50.00 million for the six months ended 30 June 2026. The company earned a modest RMB0.44 million in the same period of 2025, marking a year-on-year swing into negative territory.

Management attributed the deterioration to three primary factors:

1. Increased R&D and clinical-trial spending: Larger allocations to the “WanYu” medical large-language model, AI Agents and multi-centre clinical trials lifted research, computing-power and data-governance expenses. 2. Expansion of PBM-AI myopia prevention and control operations: Although partnerships, user numbers and model-call volumes rose, elevated outlays on marketing, medical services, store rollout and consumer-facing initiatives outweighed early-stage revenues. 3. Adverse currency movements: Exchange-rate changes exerted additional pressure on the interim bottom line.

To mitigate cost inflation, Airdoc has reorganised its structure and deployed the “WanYu” platform to enhance middle- and back-office efficiency, partially offsetting expense growth.

The figures are based on unaudited management accounts and may be revised. Airdoc intends to publish its full interim results before end-August 2026, in line with Hong Kong listing requirements. Shareholders and potential investors are urged to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities.
