A major project involving a total investment of 7 billion yuan is steadily advancing in the Yangtze River Delta region, aiming to establish a 100,000-card-level green intelligent computing center. This comprehensive industrial hub, integrating green computing power and embodied intelligence, is rapidly taking shape in the heart of the delta, according to information released on Wednesday.

The Yangtze River Delta, one of China's most economically vibrant and innovative regions, is demonstrating strong momentum in the intelligent computing power sector. The computing center, a collaborative effort between companies from Shanghai and Jiangsu, will fully focus on developing artificial intelligence and embodied intelligence industries, ultimately creating a green intelligent computing hub and an embodied intelligence industrial park serving the entire region.

Shanghai recently released its 15th Five-Year Plan for building a "Digital Shanghai," which establishes a trinity of computing services combining general-purpose, intelligent, and supercomputing capabilities. This plan also emphasizes leveraging the Yangtze River Delta integration to accelerate the construction of a national integrated computing network node platform and to facilitate cross-regional computing power interconnection.

The core of the intelligent computing center includes two landmark projects: a 100,000-card-level large-scale green computing center and an embodied intelligence industrial park. The green computing center is designed to create a next-generation intelligent computing base with high performance, low energy consumption, low latency, and high security, providing computing support for the Shanghai international science and technology innovation center and applications such as autonomous driving and smart healthcare. Meanwhile, the embodied intelligence park will focus on key areas including robot core components, intelligent terminals, and system integration, building a complete industry chain ecosystem that spans research, manufacturing, testing, and application.

The construction of this large-scale green computing center is expected to effectively alleviate the supply-demand imbalance for high-end computing power and contribute to building a self-controllable computing infrastructure system. The embodied intelligence park's layout is anticipated to help the robotics industry evolve from simple "toys" to advanced "intelligent agents," injecting new momentum into the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing sector.

The operation of the computing center will be led by a Jiangsu-based enterprise that plans to use financial data services as its foundation. Leveraging the dual drivers of artificial intelligence and embodied intelligence, the company aims to accelerate the creation of a complete industrial ecosystem encompassing data, computing power, algorithms, applications, and investment, contributing green computing momentum to the high-quality economic development of the Yangtze River Delta.

In the future, the center will utilize green electricity sourced from Inner Mongolia to power its computing operations, providing a continuous supply of sustainable computing resources to the region. According to the agreement between the two parties, a Shanghai-based AI technology company will make a strategic equity investment to deeply empower its Jiangsu data partner, facilitating its comprehensive transformation from a traditional financial data services provider into a next-generation AI infrastructure and embodied intelligence industry leader.
