At today's Honor Robot Phone launch event, Honor CEO Li Jian delivered a speech, stating that as the AI wave reshapes everything, the company has chosen to forge a unique path rather than following industry norms.

Twelve months ago, Honor established its robotics team. At the time, facing skepticism as a newcomer, the company made an unexpected decision for the entire industry: full-stack self-development, building the hardware in-house and writing the AI brain themselves. This daring ambition was pushed to the extreme during the 12-day sprint to prepare for the IROS 2025 Taoyuan Robot Challenge, where the team ultimately claimed the global championship. Following the competition, the team set a new goal: a 6-month marathon challenge, targeting a pace of 10 meters per second. At the time, the peak pace of the robot champion was only 3.3 m/s, meaning the new target was three times that speed. Honor reconstructed its consumer electronics system engineering capabilities on the entirely new robotics platform, using liquid cooling to address motor heating issues, blade batteries to solve endurance problems, and shield tunneling hinges to manage joint fatigue. It is this disruptive cross-industry integration that allowed Honor's Lightning robot to ultimately break the human half-marathon world record.

Additionally, Li Jian further announced the company's achievements in AI. Honor's YOYO smart assistant has 150 million monthly active users, has accumulated over 1,000 proactive service scenarios, and supports more than 8,000 MCPs and agents, with ultra-long task operations exceeding 100 steps.
