Huabao International Holdings Limited (Huabao International) disclosed that, after trading hours on 31 July 2026, several subsidiaries subscribed for additional wealth-management products from Industrial Bank Group and Bank of Hangzhou.
The latest transactions lift the Group’s outstanding exposure to RMB 860.00 million in Industrial Bank Group products and RMB 1.21 billion in Bank of Hangzhou products, bringing the combined balance to RMB 2.07 billion.
Industrial Bank Group: The portfolio now comprises 19 instruments. Five are capital-protected structured deposits totalling RMB 728.00 million, carrying annualised returns of 1.00%–2.12% and scheduled to mature between 31 August and 29 September 2026; expected interest income from these five deposits is about RMB 4.75 million. The remaining 14 products are net-asset-value cash-management funds (RMB 132.00 million) that can be redeemed at any time and are internally classified as “low risk”.
Bank of Hangzhou: The Group holds 18 capital-protected structured deposits, all maturing on 31 August 2026, with individual principal amounts ranging from RMB 30.00 million to RMB 220.00 million. Indicative annualised yields are 0.65%–2.26%, and aggregate expected interest at maturity is approximately RMB 1.90 million.
Management affirmed that all earlier investments with both banks—apart from the above outstanding products—have been fully redeemed. The subscriptions were funded by surplus cash, are deemed to preserve high liquidity, and are not expected to impair the Group’s financial position.
Under Hong Kong Listing Rule 14.07 the outstanding balances with each bank represent more than 5% but less than 25% of the relevant percentage ratios; the 31 July 2026 subscriptions are therefore classified as discloseable transactions, requiring announcement but not shareholder approval.
Huabao International’s fund management department monitors counter-party concentration, product risk ratings, and liquidity on a weekly basis, with material matters escalated to the Board. All products were chosen to enhance returns relative to ordinary PRC bank deposits while maintaining a low-risk profile and short tenor.
Huabao International, incorporated in Bermuda and listed in Hong Kong, specialises in flavours and fragrances, food ingredients, tobacco raw materials, aroma chemicals and condiment products within mainland China.
