Best Food HLDG (01488) issues profit warning, FY2025 net loss expected to narrow to no more than RMB10.00 million

Best Food Holding Company Limited (01488) has issued a profit warning, projecting a net loss of no more than RMB10.00 million for the financial year ended 31 December 2025. This represents a substantial improvement from the RMB258.00 million loss recorded in FY2024.

Management attributes the anticipated RMB248.00 million reduction in net loss primarily to four factors:

1. Impairment losses on intangible assets and an investment in an associate are expected to decline by about RMB110.00 million. 2. A dilution gain of roughly RMB66.00 million is forecast following the listing of an associate on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. 3. The partial disposal of an investment in an associate is projected to generate a gain of approximately RMB42.00 million. 4. Share of profits from associates is estimated to increase by around RMB26.00 million.

The company is finalising its FY2025 audited results, which may differ from the current unaudited estimates. The full annual results are scheduled for release by the end of March 2026. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities.
