The State Council of China has appointed Xie Xiaohua as the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. The appointment was made on March 30, 2026, following the nomination of Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu. The decision was carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Hong Kong Basic Law. Xie Xiaohua is female.
