Zhongyu Energy repurchases 1.00 million shares, treasury stock rises to 28.50 million

On 22 May 2026, Zhongyu Energy Holdings Limited executed an on-market buyback of 1.00 million ordinary shares at prices ranging from HKD 2.70 to HKD 2.74, for a volume-weighted average of HKD 2.72 per share. The transaction cost totalled HKD 2.72 million.

The repurchase trimmed the company’s issued shares (excluding treasury shares) by 0.0368% to 2,719.81 million. Total issued shares remain unchanged at 2,748.31 million, while treasury shares increased from 27.50 million to 28.50 million.

The buyback forms part of the mandate approved on 2 June 2025, which authorises the repurchase of up to 277.18 million shares. Cumulatively, Zhongyu Energy has repurchased 28.50 million shares under this mandate, representing 1.03% of the authorised amount.

All purchased shares are being retained as treasury stock; none have been cancelled. In accordance with HKEX rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 21 June 2026.
