MOBVOI (02438) surged over 15% in late trading. As of press time, the stock was up 15.79% to HK$0.66, with trading volume reaching HK$14.81 million.

On the news front, MOBVOI recently released its interim results, reporting revenue of RMB 179 million for the first half of the year, representing a 10% year-over-year increase. The company's adjusted net loss narrowed significantly to RMB 1.408 million, down 97.5% compared to the same period last year, while the loss for the period decreased by 99.5% year-over-year to RMB 2.898 million.

During the period, AI software business revenue totaled RMB 80.6 million, down 21.7% year-over-year, while AI smart hardware business revenue reached RMB 98.3 million, surging 64.8% year-over-year. The group increased its strategic market investments and brand investment for its new product "TicNote" in the first half, while simultaneously optimizing its product inventory structure, which led to short-term fluctuations in gross margins for this business segment. As the inventory structure adjustment gradually completes, gross margin performance is expected to stabilize.

Notably, Apple officially launched the iPhone Air, which exclusively supports eSIM technology. Additionally, according to industry sources, China's three major telecom operators may fully restart their eSIM services, which have been suspended for two years, with China Unicom taking the lead in restarting operations across multiple provinces and cities.

It's worth mentioning that as early as 2017, Shanghai Unicom partnered with MOBVOI to launch China's first eSIM-supported smartwatch, the Ticwatch2, which enabled 3G communication capabilities.
