Japanese stock markets are poised for a drop as uncertainty surrounding the conflict in Iran persists.
On the Singapore Exchange, Nikkei index futures have fallen by 0.3% to 62,320 points. This follows an unexpected ballistic missile attack by Iran on American troops in the region, placing the developments in the Middle East at the forefront of investor concerns.
Investors are also closely monitoring potential disruptions to business operations after a powerful earthquake struck Kumamoto Prefecture in southern Japan.
The Nikkei index closed 4.0% lower on Tuesday, settling at 62,364.92 points.
