AAC TECH Acquires Dispelix to Accelerate Global Commercialization of AR Waveguide Technology

1. AAC TECH has signed a definitive agreement to acquire shares and other equity securities of Dispelix Oy, a leader in AR diffractive waveguide technology. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2026, after which Dispelix will become a subsidiary of AAC TECH. This acquisition builds on the long-term strategic partnership between the two companies, combining Dispelix's expertise in waveguide design and manufacturing with AAC TECH's decades of experience in optics, precision manufacturing, and system-level integration to drive AR innovation.

2. Sai Microelectronics plans to invest up to 60 million yuan to acquire a stake in lithography equipment company Xin Donglai Semiconductor, aiming to enhance its semiconductor ecosystem. The valuation of Xin Donglai is estimated at no more than 520 million yuan, based on its post-financing valuation of 500 million yuan in May 2025 and its operational performance.

3. AIO Optics has completed a tens-of-millions-yuan Series A+ funding round led by Daohe Tuojing Xinlian Fund and Junton Capital. The funds will be used to strengthen R&D and expand production capacity to meet the growing demand for high-end lasers in the domestic semiconductor equipment industry. AIO Optics specializes in integrating AI with traditional optics, providing intelligent laser solutions.

4. S2C's prototyping verification system has successfully supported the Kunming Lake V2 dual-core RISC-V processor in launching GUI OpenEuler. The collaboration with Open Source Chip Institute leveraged S2C's S8-100 system to overcome technical challenges, significantly reducing deployment and debugging cycles.

5. Elon Musk's xAI has partnered with Saudi Arabia's Humain to build a new data center in the country, which will consume up to 500 megawatts of power. Humain also announced agreements with Nvidia and Amazon to deploy up to 150,000 high-end AI chips in Riyadh, alongside collaborations with Cisco and AMD to develop 1 gigawatt of AI infrastructure by 2030.

6. Deloitte China and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology have established an AI lab to strengthen industry-academia collaboration, focusing on AI-related business challenges.

7. Google DeepMind will open a new research lab in Singapore to advance AI development in the Asia-Pacific region, working with governments, businesses, and academic institutions to enhance user experiences and cloud services.
