The All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce unveiled the 2026 China Top 500 Private Enterprises rankings in Tianjin on September 22. According to the results, nine companies from Shanxi province secured positions on the prestigious list.

The Shanxi-based honorees include Shanxi Pengfei Group Co., Ltd., Shanxi Jincheng Steel Holding Group Co., Ltd., Shanxi Jinnan Steel Group Co., Ltd., Shanxi Jianbang Group Co., Ltd., Changzhi Nanye Industrial Group Co., Ltd., Shanxi Luba Group, Shanxi Antai Holding Group Co., Ltd., Shanxi Jinxiu Elephant Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Group Co., Ltd., and Shanxi Gaoyi Steel Co., Ltd..

Among the honorees, Pengfei Group leads all Shanxi entries with annual revenue exceeding 100 billion yuan. Steel and coke enterprises, including Jincheng Steel, Jinnan Steel, and Jianbang, continue their strong performance at the forefront. Jinxiu Elephant stands out as the representative of the province's agriculture, animal husbandry, and food processing sector, while Gaoyi Steel makes its debut on the national list. Notably, Yongtai Energy dropped out of this year's main 500-strong roster.

This year marks the 28th large-scale survey of private enterprises organized by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. A total of 6,350 companies with 2025 annual revenues exceeding 1 billion yuan participated, and the top 500 by revenue earned their place in the 2026 China Top 500 Private Enterprises ranking.

According to the survey data, the combined revenue of the top 500 private enterprises reached 44.93 trillion yuan, averaging 89.851 billion yuan per company, reflecting a 4.35% increase year-on-year. Among them, 110 companies surpassed the 100 billion yuan revenue threshold, and 12 exceeded 500 billion yuan. Total assets across the list amounted to 53.74 trillion yuan, with an average of 107.479 billion yuan per company, up 5.05% from the previous year.
