Stock Track | Motorola Solutions Plummets 5.20% Intraday as Q1 Net Income Drops Nearly 15%

Motorola Solutions' stock plummeted 5.20% during intraday trading on Friday, extending losses from the pre-market session.

The sharp decline follows the company's release of its first-quarter earnings report, which revealed mixed financial results. While revenue of $2.714 billion surpassed analyst expectations and grew 7.36% year-over-year, net income attributable to shareholders fell 14.88% to $366 million compared to the same period last year.

This significant drop in profitability triggered selling pressure among investors, despite the company also issuing full-year revenue guidance that was above Street estimates. The stock had already declined in after-hours and pre-market trading following the earnings release before falling further during the regular session.
