Nanjing hosted a conference on promoting high-quality development of the AI micro-short drama industry, aiming to build a new industrial ecosystem suited to the AI era.
The event drew on Nanjing's cultural strengths and focused on industrial coordination across the Nanjing metropolitan area, using the "Zhihui Wuxian" AI audiovisual industry ecosystem service platform as its core vehicle to connect technology, creation, talent, capital and park carriers.
According to statistics, Nanjing has so far gathered more than 300 micro-short drama companies and related upstream and downstream businesses.
In the first half of this year, the city's micro-short drama industry produced and released more than 5,500 micro-short dramas and animated dramas, a year-on-year increase of more than 90%, ranking among the top in the country in terms of production capacity.
In response to the rapid development of the industry, Nanjing's "Zhihui Wuxian" AI audiovisual industry ecosystem service platform was launched to help the industry reduce costs, improve efficiency and cluster for growth.
According to Liu Haiqing, deputy general manager of Jiangsu Wenchuang Cultural Development Co., Ltd., the platform has a very clear positioning: to fulfill public industrial service functions.
For individual creators, it offers one-stop creation services and builds AI drama-making tools that cover everything from idea generation to final delivery.
For large-scale enterprises, it focuses on cost reduction and efficiency improvement. The platform has connected 34 large models and continues to open access, providing stable high-concurrency interface call services and lowering costs for large-scale production through a computing power group-purchasing business model.
For millions of young people, especially university students, it bridges the "last mile" from classroom to real practice, with the platform launching the "AIGC Wuxian Classroom" online public welfare course that combines online and offline learning.
The "Qingning Dream Workshop" module, designed specifically for young creators, was officially launched at the meeting.
According to the organizers, the module provides an exclusive online space for learning and collaboration, offering no fewer than five free full-process computing power support sessions per day to help young people turn creative ideas into AIGC works.
At the meeting, the organizers also introduced progress in a number of ecosystem services, including copyright services, industry fund services and community matchmaking, covering areas of concern to many creators. Five groups of cooperation projects were signed on site.
Nanjing organized an AIGC short video creation competition to provide more opportunities for young creators.
The "Laisi Nanjing, Youth AI Nanjing" Nanjing Talent AIGC Short Video Creation Competition was launched during the event, and the Zhihui Wuxian AIGC Video Youth Creation Competition was also officially announced, opening tracks for corporate teams, individual creators and tech experts, with investment funds and park incubators invited to participate throughout to achieve "competition-investment linkage."
Next, Nanjing Culture and Tourism Group Co., Ltd. will work with Nanjing Jiangbei New Area to advance iteration of the platform's 2.0 version, with plans to add functions such as compliant overseas expansion, copyright deposit, review guidance and distribution push.
At the same time, it will continue to carry out the "Zhihui Wuxian AIGC into Campuses" series of activities at universities in Nanjing, covering more young creator groups.
