Shanghai-based spectacle-lens maker Conant Optical has disclosed a series of on-market buybacks that removed 3.98 million H-shares from the market between 4 May and 21 May 2026.

The repurchased shares, earmarked for cancellation and not yet removed from the register, account for 0.79% of the company’s 504.30 million issued shares as at 21 May 2026. No new shares were issued during the period, so the outstanding share count remained unchanged at the period-end.

Transaction details • Buyback volume: 3,981,800 shares • Aggregate consideration: approximately HKD 180.18 million, implying an average cost of HKD 45.28 per share. • Daily prices ranged from HKD 42.99 to HKD 49.20. • The largest single-day purchase was 600,000 shares on both 4 May and 5 May.

Latest repurchase (21 May 2026) Conant purchased 100,000 shares at prices between HKD 43.30 and HKD 43.60, spending HKD 4.35 million.

Mandate utilisation Under the buyback mandate approved on 12 June 2025 for up to 47.99 million shares, the company has so far repurchased 6.61 million shares, or 13.77% of the authorised amount (1.38% of the issued share base at the mandate date).

Moratorium on new issues In line with Hong Kong Listing Rule 10.06(3)(a), Conant Optical is barred from issuing new shares or selling treasury shares until 20 June 2026, 30 days after the latest repurchase.

The continued buyback activity signals the company’s ongoing use of its capital management authorisation while keeping total issued shares flat pending formal cancellation of the repurchased stock.
