Prudential cancels 0.8 million shares and buys back another 0.7 million on Sep, 29 2026

Prudential plc said it cancelled 801,410 ordinary shares on Sep, 29 2026, cutting its outstanding share capital to 2,481,844,895 shares.

The insurer also repurchased 725,088 shares on the London Stock Exchange the same day at prices ranging from about 15.95 to 16.15 million Singapore dollars per thousand shares, for a total consideration of roughly 11.6 million Singapore dollars. All of these shares are earmarked for cancellation, with 422,232 bought under the authority granted at the 2025 annual general meeting and 302,856 under the renewed 2026 mandate.

Since the May, 14 2025 mandate, Prudential has repurchased 125,385,763 shares, representing about 4.81% of the shares then in issue. Under the May, 28 2026 mandate, it has bought back 6,432,711 shares, equivalent to roughly 0.26% of the shares outstanding at that time, leaving authority to repurchase up to 252,810,674 more.

Following the latest transactions, Prudential is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares until Oct, 29 2026.
