South Korea's Presidential Chief of Staff Kang Kyung-hun announced on Wednesday that the country has secured a supply of 273 million barrels of crude oil from four Middle Eastern nations, to be delivered by the end of this year.

Kang made the statement upon returning to South Korea after concluding an eight-day visit to Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kazakhstan. He also confirmed that South Korea has secured 2.1 million metric tons of naphtha supply by the end of the year.

Kang told reporters, "Based on last year's consumption levels, this volume of 273 million barrels of crude oil is sufficient to sustain the South Korean economy for over three months under normal circumstances, without requiring additional emergency measures."
