Safety Tips for Returning Home During the National Day Holiday

Deep News
Yesterday

As the National Day holiday enters its fifth day, many people are beginning their return journeys early. Traffic management authorities predict that starting today, the inbound traffic flow toward Beijing will reach a peak, with the heaviest volume of returning vehicles concentrated in the afternoon hours. Major transport hubs including Beijing West Railway Station, Beijing South Railway Station, Beijing Railway Station, Beijing North Railway Station, Capital International Airport, and Daxing International Airport will also see peak passenger flows for holiday returns.

According to dynamic assessments by the Ministry of Transport, 36 sections of national highways are prone to congestion on October 5, mainly concentrated in provinces such as Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, and Guangdong. If you plan to travel through these areas, please arrange your departure time and route reasonably.

Driving Safety Reminders

For those driving themselves, it is important to check the weather forecast and plan ahead before departure. Be alert to rain, snow, and patchy fog, and follow proper driving practices. Keep this holiday return safety reminder handy.

A special note: "smart driving" is by no means "autonomous driving." When smart driving features are activated, your hands must remain on the steering wheel and your eyes must stay on the road. Never take your hands off the wheel or your eyes off the road, and never doze off or get distracted. In autumn, some highway sections are prone to patchy fog. When driving in foggy conditions, always remember to reduce speed, maintain safe distance, and keep tail lights on.

Risk Prevention at Stations and Airports

During the peak return period, stations, airports, and similar venues are crowded with high passenger turnover. Parents traveling with children must stay focused and never let children out of sight. At the same time, as crowded public places, stations and airports require vigilance against various risks. What should you do in an emergency? Keep this safety guide handy.
