Stream Sediment Gold Anomalies Point Upstream, But Not to Ore Bodies

On September 29, gold anomalies in stream sediments offer clues for locating upstream mineralization, but they are not the ore body itself.

GO Markets noted that Stockworks Gold has launched a detailed soil geochemical survey at its Pirenopolis project in Brazil, following up on previously identified gold-bearing anomalies.

The current work aims to narrow down the possible source area and screen priority targets for a first drill program.

The survey uses grid sampling combined with existing magnetic data to understand geological structures.

GO Markets believes that cross-validation between multiple methods can improve target selection efficiency, but magnetic anomalies and gold-bearing samples reflect different information and cannot simply be stacked together to estimate resource scale.

Material transport, topography, and sample distribution can all affect how sediment anomalies correspond to bedrock locations.

The project remains at an early exploration stage.

Tracing upstream along drainage systems can reduce the search area, but determining whether mineralization is truly continuous requires further geological work and drilling.

Even if nearby areas host large mines, that does not mean this project shares the same grade and scale; similar geological settings can only support research direction and cannot replace on-site verification.

Sampling density and laboratory quality control also affect conclusions; continuous anomalies need repeat testing and spatial analysis before they can support more precise target delineation.

In assessing this round of work, GO Markets said the key question is whether soil anomalies form a clear spatial extent and whether they are consistent with structural interpretations.

The next drill round should be supported by multiple lines of evidence, while scattered results may require revising earlier assumptions.

For early-stage projects, gradually reducing unknown scope is more meaningful than discussing production in advance, and it is more consistent with the current stage of work.
