PLANETREE INT’L released its FY2025 Environmental, Social and Governance Report, covering operations from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025. The disclosure centres on its Hong Kong-based financial services, lending, property investment and strategic investment activities.
Environmental performance • Scope 2 greenhouse-gas emissions fell to 38.10 tCO₂e, down 23.8% from 50.00 tCO₂e in FY2024; intensity improved to 0.95 t per employee from 1.52 t. • Total electricity use declined 9.8% to 63,494 kWh, trimming per-capita consumption to 1,587.4 kWh (FY2024: 2,143.1 kWh). • Non-hazardous waste remained flat at 12.40 t, equal to 0.31 t per employee. • Scope 3 emissions expanded to 299.40 tCO₂e as the company broadened category coverage to align with the GHG Protocol.
Mid-term climate goals • 45% reduction in Scope 2 emissions by 2030 from a 2021 baseline. • 20% cut in energy use per employee and 50% cut in non-hazardous waste by 2030, also versus 2021. Board oversight of climate strategy includes annual reviews of risk, opportunity and target progress. Internal data collection will continue to be enhanced, and use of carbon credits or renewable-energy certificates may be considered for residual emissions.
Social indicators • Headcount rose to 40 (FY2024: 33); turnover rate was 43.8%. • Workforce composition: 62.5% male, 37.5% female; 57.5% aged 40 or above. • Training coverage jumped to 87.7% of employees, averaging 18.6 hours for senior management and 5.9 hours for general staff. • No work-related injuries or fatalities recorded for the third consecutive year.
Governance and compliance The board retains ultimate responsibility for ESG matters, supported by management-level execution and periodic climate-risk assessments. The company reported zero incidents related to corruption, data privacy breaches, forced or child labour, or environmental non-compliance during the period.
PLANETREE INT’L’s ESG roadmap focuses on operational efficiency, disciplined resource use and enhanced disclosure consistency, aligning with Hong Kong Stock Exchange reporting standards and the GHG Protocol.
