The management reshuffle at CITIC BANK continues following the arrival of new President Lu Tiangui. After the qualification approval of Vice President Shen Qiang was confirmed, He Jinsong has resigned from his vice president role due to a work adjustment.

According to the arrangement, He Jinsong's next destination is China Citic Bank Corporation Limited's AMC subsidiary, CITIC Financial Assets. He Jinsong delivered a speech at CITIC Financial Assets' mid-2026 work meeting. Beyond his departure, the market is also curious about how the vacant position at the bank will be filled.

Because He Jinsong previously served not only as Vice President of CITIC BANK but also as President of its Beijing Branch. His resignation from all positions at the bank and its subsidiaries means the Beijing Branch presidency is also open. He Jinsong is more widely recognized for his role as President of the Beijing Branch than for his vice president title.

He took on the Beijing Branch presidency in 2022 and was promoted to Vice President of the bank in 2024. Previously, the bank's vice president team included seven members, each with substantial credentials. The 58-year-old He Jinsong was just one of them. Furthermore, younger executives attract more attention, such as the four newly appointed vice presidents 鈥?Zhao Yuanxin, Shen Qiang, Gu Lingyun, and Jin Xinian 鈥?all born in the 1970s.

However, He Jinsong was the leading figure at the Beijing Branch, drawing significant attention. The Beijing Branch holds a crucial position within the bank's system. Originally the Headquarters Business Department, it was officially renamed the Beijing Branch in 2019, leveraging the capital's location resources to form a unique competitive advantage.

It is the first and only tier-1 branch of China Citic Bank Corporation Limited with assets exceeding one trillion yuan. He Jinsong has led this trillion-yuan branch for four years. During this period, he drove its growth. From 2022 to 2025, the branch's assets were 1.25 trillion, 1.25 trillion, 1.33 trillion, and 1.46 trillion yuan, respectively, with the number of institutions increasing from 77 to 84.

As of the end of 2024, the Beijing Branch had 3,606 employees, with no specific figure disclosed for 2025. He Jinsong was fully dedicated to the branch. Before leaving the bank, he was still advancing government-bank exchange activities. In June, the Party Secretary of Beijing's Mentougou District visited the branch for talks with He Jinsong, discussing financial service implementation, business collaboration, and deepening government-bank linkages.

With the foundation laid by predecessors, the successor must continue the development strategy. Currently, information about the next leader of the Beijing Branch is limited. Among the branch's management, Vice Presidents Jing Long and Jia Dan appear more frequently in public. Jing Long has represented the branch in signing strategic cooperation agreements and participated in various industry events, including the 2026 Macroeconomic Analysis and Capital Market Trends Summit.

Jing Long became Assistant General Manager of the Headquarters Business Department in 2017 and was approved as Vice President of the Beijing Branch in 2020. Vice President Jia Dan specializes in wealth finance, delivering a speech at the January 2026 Wealth Inheritance Theme Summit. Jia Dan previously worked in the bank's headquarters wealth management department and officially became Vice President of the Beijing Branch in June 2023.
