Hong Kong interbank lending rates saw a broad decline on September 18, with key tenors moving lower across the curve.
The one-month Hibor, which is closely tied to mortgage rates, fell by 3.113 basis points to 2.86887%, marking its second consecutive daily drop. The three-month rate, a gauge of banks' funding costs, declined by 0.780 basis points to 3.09381%.
Overnight rates slipped 0.476 basis points to 2.17488%, while the one-week rate dropped 5.566 basis points to 2.34238%. The two-week tenor followed suit, easing 5.042 basis points to 2.67000%. Two-month borrowing costs also decreased, shedding 2.821 basis points to 2.98649%.
On the longer end of the curve, six-month rates inched up 0.970 basis points to 3.41661%, while one-year rates gained 5.494 basis points to 3.86185%.
