AIR CHINA (00753) disclosed its June 2025 operational results, revealing a consolidated year-on-year increase in passenger traffic measured by revenue passenger kilometers. Passenger capacity, gauged through available seat kilometers, expanded by 2.5%, while passenger traffic climbed 3.9%. Regional breakdowns showed domestic capacity dipping 0.2% against a 1.4% traffic rise; international operations surged with capacity up 9.9% and traffic soaring 11.1%; regional routes recorded a 2.2% capacity contraction but achieved 1.5% traffic growth. The average passenger load factor reached 81.1%, marking a 1.1 percentage point annual improvement. Specifically, domestic routes gained 1.3 percentage points, international routes rose 0.8 percentage points, and regional routes advanced 2.8 percentage points.
Cargo operations demonstrated parallel expansion, with capacity measured by available cargo tonne kilometers increasing 3.6% and cargo/mail traffic jumping 6.8%. The cargo load factor strengthened to 45.7%, reflecting a 1.4 percentage point year-on-year enhancement.
Route network development included new Beijing Capital-Yining and Beijing Capital-Karamay routes, both operating seven weekly flights effective June 26.
Fleet adjustments saw the group add one B737 series aircraft while retiring three A320 series aircraft during June. By month-end, AIR CHINA's operational fleet totaled 934 aircraft, comprising 415 owned units, 224 under finance lease, and 295 under operating lease.
