Gold Awaits Upward Momentum

Deep News
Feb 11

On February 11, gold remains in a high-level consolidation pattern. After prolonged sideways movement near highs, a trend reversal risk may emerge at any time—caution is advised. We continue to emphasize viewing the uptrend within the context of volatility. Currently, gold's lows are gradually rising, and the resistance near the 5100 level has been tested multiple times. A breakout above this level would open further upside potential for the bulls. Be prepared for gold to break upward at any moment.

Yesterday, we highlighted buying gold above 5000 in anticipation of a rise, with a strategy of entering long positions on dips and waiting for the upward move. Of course, we did not blindly assume a breakout above 5100—before such a breakout occurs, it is prudent to take profits after rallies. Only realized gains are truly yours. Following a confirmed breakout above 5100, it will still be timely to join the long side. Regardless of how gold consolidates, the resistance near 5100 remains unchanged. With gold currently stabilizing above 5000, this key level often serves as an important market indicator. During the Asian and European sessions, continue to look for buying opportunities above 5000 and wait for an upward move. During the U.S. session, pay attention to economic data influences. Only after a clear breakout above 5100 should further long positions be considered.

For today's trading strategy, the low point during yesterday's U.S. session was near the 5000 level. If gold pulls back close to 5000 today, consider entering long positions, with a protective stop below 4990. The initial target is near yesterday's high of 5078. If 5078 is breached, look for a pullback before the U.S. session to continue buying in anticipation of another upward wave.
