Nigeria's January Crude Oil Production Reaches Six-Month High

Nigeria's crude oil production increased last month to 1.46 million barrels per day, the highest level since July of last year, up from 1.42 million barrels per day in December.
Data from the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) shows that January's monthly production was equivalent to 97% of Nigeria's OPEC+ quota.
Total production of crude oil and condensate in January rose to 1.63 million barrels per day from 1.54 million barrels per day in December, which was the lowest level since October 2024.
The NUPRC stated that production during the month fluctuated between 1.59 million and 1.82 million barrels per day.
