On February 14, the Lunar New Year's Eve, the southern square of Xiong'an Outlets North Area buzzed with activity as the Xiong'an Street Art Festival commenced. Organized by the Publicity and Cyberspace Administration of Xiong'an New Area, the event brought together artists and residents for a day of cultural celebration.

The festival aims to create a joyful and festive atmosphere for the Spring Festival. As a key component of the New Area’s cultural activities, it combines street performances with interactive experiences, making art accessible beyond traditional venues and integrating it into daily life. The event offered a professional yet entertaining cultural feast for the local community.

Performers from across the province presented a diverse lineup, including singing, magic, opera, instrumental music, and acrobatics. Li Caixia, a Golden Bell Award winner, and Zhang Futang, a Silver Award recipient, jointly performed the song "Joyful Chinese New Year," filling the square with vibrant melodies. Li Yue from the Hebei Heart-to-Heart Art Troupe captivated the audience with a magic show titled "Magical Moment." Qiu Ruide, a first-class performer from the Hebei Bangzi Opera Theater and a Plum Blossom Award winner, delivered an excerpt from "The Grand Palace" with masterful vocal skill, delighting opera enthusiasts. An instrumental ensemble featuring guzheng, pipa, and erhu performed "Dreaming of the Water Village" and "Blue and White Porcelain," evoking the imagery of a traditional Jiangnan ink painting.

A Xiong'an resident, Wang Xiulan, expressed her excitement: "It’s my first time seeing such high-quality performances in a shopping square. It’s thrilling to have artists performing right at our doorstep instead of only in theaters. I hope there will be more events like this."

According to an official from the Xiong'an New Area Publicity and Cyberspace Administration, the Street Art Festival not only enhances the festive spirit but also promotes public engagement with the arts and elevates the city’s cultural ambiance. By adopting an approachable and warm format, the event integrates art into the urban fabric, allowing residents to appreciate cultural charm in an organic way and contributing to Xiong'an’s high-quality development through cultural enrichment.

Additional performances are scheduled throughout the Spring Festival holiday, organized by the Xiong'an New Area Publicity and Cyberspace Administration.
