On August 26th, the Hong Kong dollar interbank offered rates displayed a divergent pattern, with the one-month rate, which is closely tied to mortgage pricing, climbing by 1.155 basis points to settle at 2.79411%.
Simultaneously, the three-month rate, serving as an indicator of bank funding costs, inched up by 0.238 basis points to reach 2.98720%.
The overnight rate also saw an upward move, gaining 1.476 basis points to hit 3.13976%. However, the one-week rate declined by 1.494 basis points to 3.04500%, while the two-week rate slipped by 3.572 basis points to 2.88857%.
For the two-month tenor, the rate rose by 0.750 basis points to 2.90536%. On the longer end of the curve, the six-month rate held steady at 3.20000%, and the one-year rate remained unchanged at 3.50000%.
