协议条款显示，再生元制药公司为获得这些新靶点的选择权，已向CytomX支付了一笔预付款。更为重要的是，针对这6个新靶点中的每一个，CytomX都有资格获得高达数亿美元的研发、监管和商业里程碑付款。若将现有合作中的潜在付款与此次新增的里程碑款项相结合，CytomX从这项合作中可能获得的总里程碑付款最高可达约40亿美元。此外，对于任何基于此合作最终实现商业化的产品，CytomX还将有权获得分层销售提成。
这项协议的达成标志着两家公司在肿瘤治疗领域合作关系的深化。CytomX专有的Probody®技术平台旨在开发仅在肿瘤微环境中被激活的靶向疗法，旨在提高疗效的同时减少对健康组织的脱靶毒性。再生元则将其在抗体工程和药物开发方面的强大能力带入合作。此次扩展协议为未来潜在的新药管线增添了更多可能性。
