Southern 2x Leveraged NVIDIA ETF (07788) surged nearly 8% during trading, last up 7.33% to HK$174.25 with a turnover of HK$5.82 million. The move comes as NVIDIA's blowout fiscal second-quarter results and an aggressive growth outlook for the next fiscal year fueled investor optimism.
NVIDIA's latest earnings report showed both quarterly revenue and net profit significantly beating market consensus. However, the stock initially dipped after the report before reversing higher. During the earnings call, NVIDIA's CFO guided for 70% revenue growth in fiscal 2028, far exceeding the 45% consensus estimate.
CEO Jensen Huang added that the company's fiscal 2028 outlook would be "much higher" without supply constraints. The stronger-than-expected guidance lifted sentiment, with shares climbing up to 4.7% in after-hours trading.
In a fresh research note, Goldman Sachs reiterated its "Buy" rating on NVIDIA and raised its 12-month price target from $285 to $300. The team led by analyst James Schneider noted that the fiscal 2027 revenue outlook aligns with the most optimistic buy-side expectations, while clearer gross margin guidance and management's disclosure of customer financial commitments together provide more solid support for the stock's valuation.
