AMD CEO Lisa Su Expected to Visit South Korea Next Month for Semiconductor Industry Conference

According to industry insiders on Wednesday, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) CEO Lisa Su is expected to visit South Korea next month to meet with executives of South Korean semiconductor companies and government officials.

This will be Su's second visit to South Korea in about seven months, following her trip in March this year.

According to sources from the South Korean government and the semiconductor industry, a conference is being considered for October 8 in Seoul, which Su will attend.

CEOs of major South Korean AI chip companies are expected to attend the conference, including Rebellions, FuriosaAI and Mobilint.

According to the sources, Su is also expected to meet with South Korean Minister of Science and ICT Bae Kyung-hoon before or after the conference.

During her visit, Su will also coordinate meetings with heads of major South Korean companies, including Samsung Electronics.

During her visit to South Korea in March this year, the AMD chief met with Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong.

Since 2025, Samsung Electronics has been supplying HBM3E chips to AMD for its latest AI solutions, and the two sides have maintained a close business relationship.
