BASICSEMI (09971) has released its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, with group revenue climbing 15.5% from RMB 104 million in the prior-year period to RMB 121 million. The overall gross margin improved significantly by 31.6 percentage points, moving from a negative 28.8% to a positive 2.8%, marking a key milestone as the company achieved gross margin profitability for the first time.

During the reporting period, the company's loss narrowed 8.8% year-on-year to RMB 162 million, while the adjusted net loss (a non-IFRS measure) decreased 15.1% to RMB 112 million. The improvement reflects ongoing operational efficiencies and a continued focus on cost discipline across its business segments.

The company has maintained steady progress in research and development across its three core product pillars: silicon carbide discrete devices, silicon carbide power modules, and power semiconductor gate drivers, with overall technology platform capabilities strengthening throughout the period. In the automotive sector, vehicle-grade silicon carbide power modules have undergone continuous iteration, with several new product series launched. In the industrial sector, multiple new products have entered the sampling, validation, or customer qualification stages. In the consumer electronics area, the company has completed development of a new process platform and introduced products tailored to meet corresponding market demand.

Throughout the reporting period, the company intensified its efforts in deepening relationships with existing customers, expanding its client base with new accounts, and breaking into overseas markets. The industrial-grade silicon carbide power module business added more than 60 new customers, and its products have been adopted in AI data centers operated by leading domestic telecommunications carriers. Demand for electroplating power supplies has continued to grow, with cumulative orders surpassing 30,000 units. For silicon carbide discrete devices, the company successfully penetrated several major domestic consumer electronics clients, formally entering applications such as LED lighting power supplies, PD fast chargers, power adapters, and smart home appliances. On the overseas expansion front, the vehicle-grade silicon carbide power module has secured a new design win for an overseas vehicle project from a European tier-one supplier.
