On November 30, the Tibet Autonomous Region Meteorological Observatory issued a weather forecast for the next ten days. From December 1 to 6, sporadic precipitation is expected in parts of eastern Tibet. Between December 7 and 10, both eastern and western Tibet will see precipitation, with moderate snowfall in some high-altitude areas. Temperature fluctuations are expected during this period, with a noticeable drop from west to east between December 9 and 10. Strong winds will persist in western regions.

From December 1 to 2, Nyingchi, northern Qamdo, and western and southern Ngari will be cloudy, with light snow (or rain) in some areas. Other regions will be mostly sunny with scattered clouds.

Between December 3 and 6, Nyingchi, central and northern Qamdo will experience cloudy to overcast conditions with light snow (or rain), with moderate snowfall in some high-altitude mountainous areas on the 3rd. Eastern Nagqu, southern Shannan, and western Ngari will be partly cloudy to overcast, while other areas will remain mostly sunny.

Nagqu, eastern Ngari, Nyingchi, and northern Qamdo will be partly cloudy, with light snow (or rain) in some areas. Other regions will have scattered clouds.

Between December 9 and 10, Nyingchi and central and northern Qamdo will be overcast with light snow (or rain), with moderate snowfall in some high-altitude mountainous areas. Eastern Nagqu and southern Shannan will be partly cloudy to overcast, while other areas will be mostly sunny. After the snowfall, temperatures will drop by 4–6°C from west to east, with localized drops exceeding 8°C.

During this period, Nagqu, Ngari, and western and southern Shigatse will experience strong winds of around force 7, while the Yarlung Tsangpo River area and northern Qamdo will see gusts of around force 4.

The meteorological department warns of potential adverse effects of strong winds on transportation and agricultural facilities. Over the next ten days, western, northern, and southern Tibet will experience frequent strong winds, with sand and dust likely along the Yarlung Tsangpo River. Authorities advise reinforcing billboards, livestock shelters, agricultural greenhouses, and temporary structures to prevent wind damage.

From December 7 to 10, moderate snowfall and cooling in eastern and western Tibet may lead to icy roads, requiring enhanced traffic control. Major construction sites should prepare for snow and temperature drops to ensure safety.

Additionally, due to dry conditions and high fire risks in forests and grasslands, fire prevention measures should be strengthened, and open flames should be managed carefully.
